Systems Approach to Reducing P Loss
This EGLE Nonpoint Source Program supports practices that reduce phosphorus loss and improve water quality in the Bean Creek Watershed. Eligible practices include:

Phosphorus On-Farm Trials
This program supports on-farm phosphorus management by reducing commercial phosphorus applications so crop removal rates are applied only where soil test phosphorus falls below critical levels.

The Hunting Access Program provides up to $25 per acre annually for private landowners who lease their property for public hunting access.

Conservation Reserve Program (CRP)
The Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) assists landowners with establishing perennial vegetation on environmentally sensitive land. Participants may receive annual rental payments through long-term (10+ year) contracts.
